We started our land development business in Aubry, Kansas, a township in the southeast corner of Johnson County. Our goal was to offer the Kansas City area complete land development services with no fluff or BS—just straightforward partnering in concept development, due diligence, site selection, entitlements, permitting, and more.
In no time at all, our expertise had helped projects from Wisconsin to Georgia and many states in between. Despite the growth in business, we’ve kept efficient with a lean and nimble team.
Meet the Team
Jay O’Dell-
Founded Aubry Enterprises with his brother in 2019 on the idea that we could provide better service, deliverables, and overall experience in any area the business went. With over 100 projects designed, permitted, and completed across the country Jay leads the Land Development and Civil Engineering Teams in providing our clients with the guidance and expertise to ensure a successful project.
When he’s not solving the world’s problems one CAD drawing at a time, you’ll probably find him running or at the gym, mostly so that he won’t feel so bad drinking that extra Busch Light on the golf course over the weekend.
Jon Schmidt-

As the Lead Civil Designer on the team, Jon’s attention to detail and commitment to always improving are examples everyone at Aubry can attest. He won’t tell ya, but if you want something done, go talk to Jon.
Matt Halvorson-
Matt joined the team as a Civil Designer with a background in computer coding. His unique technical perspective provides creative solutions in an otherwise traditional industry. As a lifelong learner and someone who is always up for a new challenge, Matt hit the ground running and has been an asset to the team from the start.
Lindsey Linder-
After spending 10 years teaching 5th graders, Lindsey decided to take on a new challenge in a different industry. Luckily for us, she brought her skills from the classroom to the office manager role and has brought Aubry to the next level.
